My husband remembers his grandmother saying "Layoes for Medlars" to him when he asked too many stupid questions (a habit he hasn't entirely shaken).

However, according to this Staffordshire Potteries dialect book, it was "Leos for Meddlers" - which rather spoils my reasoning for changing the name of my business.  I was looking for something that limits what Google comes up with when you say the name, as it took about 5 pages to come up with Arcadian Prints. And that works as long as you can spell Layoes, but if you're going to start spelling it in different ways, I'm stuffed.

So stick to my husband's grandmother's version, if you please - I have enough problems.
