Just a little information about Guerin: The title of his main work, from which these prints are taken, is:

 

"Picturesque Dictionary of natural history and natural phenomena containing the history of animals, plants, minerals, meteors, the main physical phenomena and natural curiosities, with details on the use of the productions of the three kingdoms in the uses of life, the arts and crafts and manufactures written by a society of naturalists under the direction of FE Guérin."

 

The hand-colouring is contemporary with the time of publication, and the drawings are by

Félix-Edouard  Guérin-Méneville.

They are on very fine (handmade?) paper.
